Badge Delete Trends In America Und Germany

Here's an interesting piece in today's New York Times about the motives behind people deleting badges off of their German luxury cars.

One trend I've noticed in California, the land of Porsche Cayenne S's: owners of base Porsche Cayennes opt for the badge delete option so that people can't tell if they drive a Cayenne or a Cayenne S.

I saw that too. I'm all for badge addition. That's why I put a VW badge on my Veyron, Continental GT, Reventon and soon my 911 GT3. Oh, and a couple dozen Skodas.
