James Bond watch

This was 007's watch in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).  Imagine what would happen if this is how modern day teens text messaged.  The world would run out of tin within two days.

While it is laughable now, it does amaze me that some of the Bond's gadgets did come to fruition in later day use. I still love the quote from one of the original propr makers for the Bond films. In reference to the bubbleless air respirator used in one of the films, a British military advisor asked him how long someone could stay submerged under water. He responded in typical dry Brit humor," As long as you can hold your breath"

@MattC: I assume you're a Bond fan. I'm meeting Robert "Jaws" Kiel at a toy fair this weekend. Do you have a question you want me to ask him?

@MattC: I am going to post his real estate informercial fairly soon.

Well, do you have a question? I'm watching The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker to prepare for my "meeting" with him.

I'm not sure. I always wonder if he likes or despises that fact that he was always be known as "Jaws". It is always hard to tell from some of the older actors whether or not they like having fame from really just one role when like Kiel, he has played quite a few roles. Thanks for asking and keep us posted on how he was personally.
